TGA Consulting Engineers LLP  were employed by Dame Allan's Schools under full duties in connection with their new Junior School site. 

The new Junior School is to be constructed on the existing Hunters Moor Hospital, which will be demolished to make way for the new development. 

A range of zero and low carbon technologies will be provided to the site, including solar water heating, rainwater harvesting, ground source heat pumps and high efficiency lighting. 

The design of the building has been developed in close co-operation with the architects, Ian Belsham Associates, ensuring that an intelligent automated natural ventilation system will provide suitable air quality in accordance with Building Bulletins as well as exceeding the requirements of Building Regulations and CIBSE guides.  This approach has also allowed extensive use of daylighting to reduce energy consumption as well as improving wellbeing of building occupants.
